Academics or Entrepreneural skill, which one should I pursue first?

Before we go into the topic, let's have some basic definitions:

CAREER: A career is the job or profession  that someone does for a long  period of their life.

ACADEMICS: is used to describe 

things that relate to the work done in schools, colleges, and universities, especially work which involves studying and reasoning rather than practical or technical skills.

SKILL:

An ability and capacity acquired throughdeliberate, systematic, and sustainedeffort to smoothly and adaptively carryout complex activities or jobfunctions involving ideas (cognitiveskills), things (technical skills), and/or people (interpersonal skills).

In a nutshell;

Primary and secondary education is a must for everyone, because it's the foundation, the basics everyone needs for a start. Tertiary education is also good, because it gives you an edge over your equal. Having an entrepreneural Skill in an economy of high rate of Unemployment is undoubtedly important. But a thorough evaluation of the economic fluctuations and it's strength should determine which one to pursue first as a youth. Times are changing, therefore requires everyone to be up-to-date with the trend. Formerly, there was a time when agricultural produce were the main stay of every economy, but not until the industrial revolution, and now the information age. At these various stages of economic metamorphosis, requirements for employability and personal survival varies. Therefore, if you are in the information age and still carry the mindset of the industrial revolution, then you may end up in complains and bitterness. The information age requires you just to be aware of the turbulence in the environment and probably a solution then get people who are skilled in that area to work with, you pay them a percentage and the Lion share belongs to you. Academics or Skill?

Academics is a requirement but not a necessity. Skill is a requirement and a necessity. Let's ask a question; what if you graduate out of the tertiary institution and there is no readily available job, do you stop existing or you loose your mind? There is a very high rate of Unemployment everywhere. 

Rare Truths:

Skill can survive anywhere but academics cannot. Why? If you are an Msc holder and a meeting is ongoing, people with Dr. degree supersedes you automatically once they appear on the scene. But you cannot be a skilled person and be superseded except your skill is outdated already.

Therefore before you pursue higher academic qualifications, without prejudice to academics in consideration of the economic status quo, I recommend; you should have a skill. It's a tool and it may also save you someday if you were not born with a silver spoon.
